GREAT LIVES : BORIS PASTERNAK
Boris Leonidovich Pasternak, Russian poet, novelist, and literary translator, was born on Feb.10, 1890.
Composed in 1917, Pasternak's first book of poems, My Sister, Life, was published in Berlin in 1922 and soon became an important collection in the Russian language.
His most famous book, Dr.ZHIVAGO, was later made into a successful movie.

ARTHUR MILLER, American playwright, passed away on Feb.10, 2005.
Arthur Asher Miller was also an essayist, and a controversial figure in the twentieth-century American theater. Among his most popular plays are All My Sons, Death of a Salesman, The Crucible and A View from the Bridge. He wrote several screenplays and was most noted for his work on The Misfits.

Charles John Huffam Dickens

He created some of the world's best-known fictional characters and is regarded by many as the greatest novelist of the Victorian era.
