Mark Zuckerberg has a lot on his plate. The 36-year-old runs Facebook, the social media giant with a market cap of 855 billion dollars. It is therefore not surprising that the tech CEO has quite a lot to do throughout the day. That being said, Zuckerberg still makes the time to exercise, travel extensively, and spend time with his family. Let's take a look at a day in the life of Mark Zuckerberg. Welcome back to our channel, If you haven’t already, make sure to hit that subscribe button and ring the bell, so that you get notified everytime we upload a new video!

Depending on how you look at it, Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg either have zero work-life balance, or he's actually pretty good at it. After waking up at 8 a.m., the Facebook founder immediately checks Facebook, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp on his phone; he told Jerry Seinfeld in a Facebook Live Q&A. Once he's gotten his morning updates, it's time to work out. Zuckerberg typically exercises about three times a week. Sometimes he brings his dog Beast along. The tech CEO says running with his pet has the "added bonus of being hilarious" because it's "basically like seeing a mop run." Beast is a Hungarian sheepdog with quite an impressive coat.

CHEMISTRY LAUREATE ROBERT CURL

"When I was nine years old, my parents gave me a chemistry set. Within a week, I had decided to become a chemist and never wavered from that choice. As I grew my interest in chemistry grew more intense, if not more sophisticated. (...)

I was not a particularly distinguished student as a child. My grades were good but obtained more by steady work than any brilliance on my part. I vividly remember my father telling me that one of my elementary school teachers had told him that I was not brilliant but I was a steady hard worker. Somehow the further I progressed in school, the easier it became to do well."

From an early age Robert Curl realised that he wants to become a chemist, read his life story: https://bit.ly/2On128N

Robert Curl shared the 1996 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Harold Kroto and Richard Smalley "for their discovery of fullerenes". Today it is Curl's 88th birthday - join us in wishing him happy birthday!

NOBEL LAUREATE KONSTANTIN NOVOSELOV, INVENTOR OF GRAPHENE

Happy birthday to Konstantin Novoselov

Together with Andre Geim, Novoselov produced the material graphene in 2004. They usually used Fridays to discover and explore things that they didn't have time to experiment with during their research projects. They then had access to the lab but also had the freedom to experiment and explore areas others might find a bit strange. One of these Fridays they started experimenting with graphite and tape and managed to produce the new material graphene.

After successfully producing graphene, Novoselov and Geim mapped its properties: incredibly thin but still incredibly strong, good heat and electrical conductivity, almost entirely transparent yet very dense. Graphene has created new possibilities within materials technology and electronics.

RADIOCHEMIST IRENE JOLIOT-CURIE

Becoming radiochemist Irène Joliot-Curie.

Irène Joliot-Curie was born in Paris in 1897, six years before her parents Pierre Curie and Marie Skłodowska Curie were awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics. Early on, they were largely absent, working long hours to isolate radioactive elements. So the young Joliot-Curie was raised by her paternal grandfather, Eugene, a retired doctor who taught her to love nature, poetry, and radical politics.

She inherited her parents' love of science and ended up dedicating her own life to science as well. Along with her husband, Frédéric, she discovered the first-ever artificially created radioactive atoms, paving the way for innumerable medical advances, especially in the fight against cancer. Together they shared the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935.

CHEMISTRY LAUREATE JENNIFER DOUDNA

"Diversity is really important in science. First of all, I think that if you want to have the best scientific outcomes, you need a lot of different brains working on it. We all come to science (or anything really) with different perspectives, skill sets, interests, passions and ways of approaching a problem. The more of that we have, I think the more likely there is to be interesting science that gets done and frankly, interesting solutions to real problems."

Chemistry laureate Jennifer Doudna on how important diversity is in science. Doudna was awarded the chemistry prize for her work on the gene-editing tool CRISPR-Cas9.

PHYSICS LAUREATE Gabriel Lippmann

Have you heard about the scientist who introduced Marie Sklodowska to her future life partner and colleague Pierre Curie?

In his laboratory, inventor and Nobel Prize physicist Gabriel Lippmann supported a Polish student in her research, Marie Sklodowska. Lippmann introduced Marie to his collaborator in piezoelectricity, Pierre Curie. The couple would turn out to be one of the most Nobel Prize-awarded families ever.

On this day in 1845 Gabriel Lippmann was born. He would become a pioneer in early colour photography.

In February 1891, the Nobel Prize laureate announced to the Paris Academy of Sciences: "I have succeeded in obtaining the image of the spectrum with its colors on a photographic plate whereby the image remains fixed and can remain in daylight without deterioration."

His method was hard to use and never came into widespread use, but the feasibility of taking photographs in natural colours stimulated the desire for such technologies. Lippmann was awarded the 1908 physics prize for his method of producing colour photography.

On September 6, 1522, the "Victoria" sailed into harbor in southern Spain. The battered vessel and its 18 sailors were all that remained of a fleet that had departed three years before. Yet her voyage was considered a success, for the "Victoria" had achieved something unprecedented – the first circumnavigation of the globe. Ewandro Magalhaes shares the story of Magellan’s journey.

Spartacus was a slave -- one of millions taken from territories conquered by Rome to work the mines, till the fields or fight for a crowd’s entertainment. Imprisoned for deserting the Roman Army, he and other slaves fought their way free and started a rebellion. How did a slave become synonymous with freedom and courage? Fiona Radford delves into the life and legend of Spartacus.

NOBEL LAUREATE HERTA MUELLER

"Nothing speaks to us as forcefully as a book, which expects nothing in return, other than that we think and feel."

Happy birthday to literature laureate Herta Müller. Müller was awarded the 2009 Nobel Prize in Literature for works that address an individual's vulnerability under oppression and persecution. Her works are rooted in her experiences as one of Romania's German-speaking ethnic minorities.

She describes life under Ceaușescu's regime - how dictatorship breeds a fear and alienation that stays in an individual's mind. Innovatively, and with linguistic precision, she evokes images from the past.

GERTRUDE ELION WON NOBEL FOR DISCOVERING IMPORTANT PRINCIPLES FOR DRUG TREATMENT

GERTY CORI, FIRST WOMAN NOBEL LAUREATE FOR PHYSIOLOGY/MEDICINE

Gerty Cori, born on this day, was the first woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

She uncovered the process of cellular energy storage and release, answering one of the most fundamental questions about how the human body works.

In so doing, she and her husband and lifelong research partner, Carl, transformed the study of biology, proving that the clarity of molecular chemistry could and should be applied to the opaque mechanisms of biology.
