GREAT ECONOMISTS : William Nordhaus

”The most important job I do is teaching.”

Happy birthday to William Nordhaus!

The same morning he learnt he'd been awarded the 2018 Prize in Economic Sciences, Nordhaus taught his intermediate macroeconomics class at Yale University. The press conference regarding the announcement had to be postponed so he could finish his class.

Nordhaus was awarded the 2018 Prize in Economic Sciences "for integrating climate change into long-run macroeconomic analysis."
