October 15 is the birthday of Jalaluddin Muhammad Akbar, popularly known as Akbar the Great. He is the greatest of Mughal emperors. He was a many-sided personality and with many talents: artist, artisan, blacksmith, carpenter, general, inventor, animal trainer and much more. Akbar's courage, strength and other great leadership qualities are extolled in various historical literature. He was a great patron of arts and literature. Many great constructions, which stand even today, were carried out during his reign like Fatehpur Sikri. He encouraged religious dialogue between Muslims, Sikhs, Hindus and Christians. He passed away at the age of 63.
