Prasun Desai is the second Indian in Mars. We mean NASA’s Mars ventures. The first was Kannan Rajan, who developed the software for the landing of rovers, ‘Spirit’ and ‘Opportunity’. Desai, who is with NASA’s Langley Research Center, had led the team that guided the landing. This time, he and three others helped the ‘Phoenix’ land. As the robotic lander finds ‘signatures of life’ on the red planet, here is yet another Indian who leaves his signature on Mars.
